Hit the Road Jack!

Today is the day....

after much sorting, organizing, packing, and re-packing, the Bailey's are finally ready to start their cross country journey.
First the van looked like this.... and we were like "wow we don't have much stuff, this will be a piece of cake!"
and by yesterday afternoon, the apartment was empty, and the van looked like this....
....we have learned our lesson:), and Ben truly believe that he worked a miracle when he found a way to fit my spinning wheel in at the very end.

I also said goodbye to a lot of lovely people yesterday. I had a wonderful breakfast with miss Jessica Kim, and got to say goodbye to all my yarn shop friends. Saying goodbye just reminded me of how lucky we are to have such wonderful people in our lives, people who are so supportive, caring and want good things to happen to us. I am going to miss Portland and everyone in it so much I can't even say. (Thank goodness for Christmas break!)

So today we head off in the general direction of Yellow Stone National Park. We are both extremely excited about that portion of the trip. Neither of us have ever been to yellow stone OR ever had the need to purchase bear spray...which is recommended on the park's website. Should be an adventure!
We will keep you posted a long the way, and try to capture those fun road trip moments.
